Getting Started

Tom started out after college in a great job and living the life.  He spent his spare time doing the things he loved - International Travel.  The thing was he could not afford it and was doing it all on credit cards.  Then on one of those trips where he almost drown, he got a wake-up call.  He realized he could not keep going the way he was going, he needed to do something different.

The First Disasterous Deal

So after reading a book he went out and purchased a 6-unit apartment in New York City, with hopes that the $800 a month cash flow would fund him and his lifestyle.  It didn't work. But he didn't give up. He desperately wanted real estate to be the answer, but he didn't know enough.

Getting Help & Finding His Niche

Enter his local REIA group where he found the support, the network, the referrals, and education on how to be a real estate investor. At one of their workshops, he learned about wholesaling.  He jumped in and did his first deal.  Paid off some bills and took another trip.  He came home and perfected his wholesaling system and over the years and is sharing it with us on the 14th.

Toms 3rd Visit to MAREI

Tom has been to Kansas City to teach at MAREI several times over the years.  Every time he brings a wealth of knowledge, but what makes it different is that he is able to break things down into basic components that makes it easier to understand and digest what he is teaching.  And through the use of his workbook full of worksheets and frameworks the students are able to take notes that are useful tools to come back and review on Monday Morning or any time in the future.
