Main MAREI Meeting: What Happens to Your Empire After You Die

with... David Nachman & Edward Ethington

How to protect your heirs.

Tuesday, June 12, 2018

Holiday Inn & Suites - OP West
8787 Reeder Road
Overland Park, KS 66214

The best time to plan for a future transition is before a family is forced to make a decision out of necessity, such as in the case of an untimely death or incapacity. This can be especially important when there are multiple children, some of whom may not have been directly involved in running the investments.

Real Estate Entrepreneurs assume that their spouses or kids want to, or even CAN, manage their properties if they’re incapacitated or deceased.  Or that the same family members who’ve always, often loudly, expressed their dislike of your real estate empire will suddenly come around, or find a way to deal with it, in an emergency.

The kind thing for you to do is to have a specific, written plan for people other than your heirs to operate the properties in trust should you become disabled.

What’s your plan? Because you don’t have to be 85 to have something happen to you that makes it impossible for you to deal with the complex situation you’ve created.

We've asked Attorney David Nachman and Financial Planner Edward Ethington to join us on Tuesday, June 12th at the MAREI meeting to outline the hard questions you need to ask now.  The time to get the plan in place is now, the time to review that plan is annually so your heirs are not left a mess that they can't deal with and end up with nothing.

As always, MAREI Members can attend the event at no charge and Non-Members can Register Now Online for $15 or pay $25.00 at the door. Be sure to bring your business cards and flyers for our Deal Table and join us for an evening of real estate deals, vendors, networking, education, and fun! See you there!
