This ordinance would establish an interior residential rental dwelling unit inspection. The program's focus is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public. (SAME OLD BS ALWAYS USED TO STRIP YOU OF YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AWAY, THEY ARE GOING TO PROTECT YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE!!!)

Phillip Thatcher, the president of Landlords of EJC has been approved as a Speaker at the Independence Council Meeting, he has been given only 5-min to speak; but, that should give him enough time to express our "points of opposition" to this Article. He will be speaking on behalf of all four of our groups: Landlord Legal Defense Fund, Landlords Association of Eastern Jackson County (LAEJC), KC Landlords Inc., and Mid-America Association of Real Estate Investors (MAREI).
ON TUES September 6th at 5:30 PM: We will meet as a group in the north parking lot in front of Independence City Hall, 111 East Maple, corner of Noland Road and Truman Road. The City Council chambers is in the basement of 111 East Maple. Hope to see all of you there.
