Main Monthly Meeting: What Happens When You Die

with... Attorney Rebecca Auriemma & CPA Dan Marlow

Building wealth gets all our attention. Making it last gets almost none. This meeting covers the part we skip—the legal and tax pieces that make sure what you've built reaches your family. Build your plan, or review the one you have.

ATTENTION NEW MEETING LOCATION - HOLIDAY INN OFF 87th And I-35

Here's a question almost no real estate investor can answer with confidence — no matter how sharp they are on a deal:

What actually happens to everything you own the day you're gone?

Not who inherits it. What happens to it — legally, and tax-wise — in the weeks right after.

If you've never set anything up, the honest answer is usually chaos. If you do have a will and a trust, you might assume it's handled — but a trust only protects what's actually been put inside it, and plenty of investors who "have a plan" are carrying gaps they don't know about.

So come whether you're starting from a blank page or you set all this up years ago. If you haven't started, you'll leave knowing what you actually need. If you think you're done, you'll leave knowing whether you really are. At the very least you will be better prepared to handled your parents estate and help your sellers.

Leading up the Legal Side of the equation is Estate attorney Rebecca Auriemma (Anderson & Associates) walks through what a complete plan really looks like — trusts, the documents every owner needs, and the funding step so many investors miss. Then CPA Dan Marlow (Valor Business & Tax Service) covers the tax side, so your family inherits a clean handoff instead of a headache. We'll open with a few words from investor Michelle Winberry, who lived this firsthand this year, and close with live Q&A.

This one's for everyone — brand-new or thirty years in. Can't be in the room? Grab the replay in the member library. Just don't skip it.
