This Friday, 2/6 @9:30am, in person and on Zoom (link & office address are below), we are having our first organizing (soon to be monthly) meeting among our local and regional rental housing providers and organizations to address the new and trending rental (tenant protection) laws sweeping the country - including those already in Missouri and Kansas. Some of us are already raising awareness about them so that our peers are on notice and prepared to manage the risk in their daily business.
We are also fighting them, sometimes in silos. We need to work together and be prepared to respond on behalf of our industry, speaking with a collective voice and sharing what we are seeing in our market, since this is not happening at this time. The tenant activist organizations are highly organized and successful. Let's determine how our coalition will handle the new hostile legislative environment we face through our KC Regional Housing Alliance. Can you please let me know if you can join us?
